When I think of the holidays at the end of the year, I think of the wonderful and marvelous light displays at local parks. Not only are the lights pretty, it allows me to practice my night photography and bokeh photography on my wide-aperture lens.
This week on the Lens-Artist Challenge, we were challenged to “find something red”, which reminded me that it was Chinese New Year this past Saturday and just about everyone I know knows the color red is seen just about everywhere during Chinese New Year – red lantern, lights, red envelopes… Therefore, I think it’s fitting…

Night sky photography has recently become a new fascination of mine. Whenever I have time and a clear night sky, I’d go to my backyard to practice since it’s pretty dark out there on most nights.
