What Am I Good At?
This is a tricky one because there might be things which I feel I’m good at but other people will think I suck at. I guess it’s all about perspective on this one.

- I think I’m good at trying to at least 2 or 3 moves ahead and I’m not talking about playing games. I’m talking about life. I’ve always treated life as a game of chess where one must look ahead before deciding the right move. I don’t remember when I started thinking like that but I can’t stop.
- I guess I’m good at hands-on learning. I can catch on quickly when I can see someone do the same thing or something similar. I think this is more like mimicking but still, it’s skill.
- I feel I’m typically pretty good at expressing the stories that’s playing in my head in words.
- I’m pretty good at numbers. I have been playing a game called “Cross Math” on my phone. It’s similar to crossword puzzles but with numbers. This game involves quite a bit of mental math. So far, I can solve a puzzle in less than minute. I tried competition and beat out quite a lot of people. I guess that means I’m pretty good at mental math.
- I feel I’m getting pretty good at gardening. If you asked me 3 years ago, I would’ve told you I have a black thumb. Back then, I couldn’t keep anything alive but, now, 3 years later, I’m growing kale and vegetables in the winter and they are all alive. So I guess I’m getting pretty good at growing food.

Hello December 2024!
Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #327 – 5 Elements
This week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge’s theme – 5 elements – hosted by Sofia at Photographia, had me a little stumped, which was why I put it off (that and procrastination got the better of me) until Monday. The 5 Elements are consisted of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Metal/wood, hopefully I will represent them well in my post.

5 Things I’m thankful for in 2024
I began this tradition on this blog years ago where I would list 5 things I’m thankful for during that particular year. I’ve been looking forward to the break over Thanksgiving that I completely forgot it’s the time of the year to give thanks. I wish my blogging friends in the US a Happy Thanksgiving and even if you’re in an area in the world where you don’t observe Thanksgiving, there’s always time to give thanks, even to the little things in life.

#SundayStills: Monthly Color Challenge – #Brown Trees
Like it or not, I will always look back on that trip because so far, that trip is ranked at the top of my best trip list. This picture is a picture of a fallen tree trunk at Bryce Canyon. In the snow, it looked like something else, like a sleeping beast in the snow. Nature has its weird ways of creating art, doesn’t it?
Another one from the trip.
There seem to be quite a bit of brown landscapes. I’m pretty sure it’s just the time of year for that color to surface as the days are at its shortest and the nights are at its longest.
Surprisingly, by the time I made it to northern Arizona, I found out I get 30 minutes of daylight than I do at home. Funny how much of a difference 6 degrees of latitude can make.
Anyway, this is just a tree, somewhere along highway 95 in southeastern Utah, surviving, I guess, beside a nearly dried up river. I feel like many of us are in similar situations – just surviving, trying to get by day to day.
