“What’s with all the gingerbread cookies?” May’s jaw dropped at the sight of the trays of badly decorated gingerbread cookies on the kitchen counter.
Reyna turned, annoyed, before sliding another tray of cookies into the oven and hip-bumped the oven shut. “Can’t you tell I’m prepping for Christmas?”
“In April?”
Reyna sighed, “I’m prepping for the 12 days of Christmas.”
“Really, in April?”
“I want it to be perfect this year.”
“What if it’s canceled again this year?”
“Nah uh, don’t you dare say that!” Reyna snapped. “Everything was canceled for 2020. I am not going to let 2021 be a repeat of 2020.”

You tell her, Reyna!

I’m crossing my fingers that Christmas 2021 will be very different from 2020. I don’t blame her for baking in April. You’ve gotta do something.

I am hoping that too.

Reyna has the right idea. She can always use the then hard-as-rock cookies as decoration. Fun story, and may her wishes come true.

Let’s hope she is right. Still, April might be a bit early……

Just a tad early but I think she was just practicing to make sure it won’t go wrong when the time comes.

It definitely is up us not to play the same ‘game’ this year!
