Fill in: ‘If I were really completely honest, I would say that …’ This is a question for ‘radical honesty’. What are the things you wouldn’t normally say? Things you would otherwise actually hide? What’s on your mind? What would you really like to be able to say?
If I were really completely honest, I would say that I’ve been in quite a bit of pain this last few days as my gums have become infected again – not the side that just had surgery but it’s really irritating. Meanwhile, mom is making all kinds of goodies, foods that would make make my gums hurt even more.
Have you ever broken anything? What about rules?
I have never broken a body part, I can tell you that, and I’ve probably broken a few dishes but nothing beyond that.
I’ve probably broken a few rules here and there but there’s saying – you can do whatever you want as long you don’t get caught.
Are you also afraid of spiders? What is your biggest fear, other than spiders? (if you’re not afraid of spiders, use your biggest phobia instead).
Spiders, to me, are more of an annoyance than a fear. Does this mean I would blindly reach into a dark place and grab a spider with my hands? No way.
My biggest fear is the fear of falling. I learned this recently because I used to think my biggest fear is heights but it’s actually my fear of falling masquerading as my fear of heights. I am terrified of standing in open spaces like cliffs or ledges because I’m afraid of falling over them. It’s also the reason why I don’t ride open-air Ferris wheels or ski chair lifts and it totally explains the reason why I can drive on a road like the Hell’s Backbone without being afraid.
Do you think time goes faster as you get older?
Actually, I think time goes faster the moment we’re out of school and working our first jobs. School days goes at a snail pace but once you start working, the days will start flying by. I mean, it feels like I just started working for the company yesterday and look at now, I will have worked at my current job for 4 years this May.
GRATITUDE SECTION (as always, optional)
Please share something that really inspired you from this last week or month.
I have been reading a little bit of this book each night before bed. I picked this book up at a thrift store a few years ago but never gotten around to reading it. I lent it to my cousin to help him with a school assignment but he didn’t even touch the book.
This is a book full of short stories about everyday miracles – people helping others, find lost love, etc. It’s very inspiring to see that miracles does happen to ordinary people in this world. It also gives me hope that maybe there are some good people in this world.
