Happy Sunday! Ann-Christine from Leya is the lovely hostess for this week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge and she has, indeed, chosen an easy yet difficult topic (for me, at least) and that is to illustrate in photos a favorite quote or a poem.

#SundayStills: Views from a #Window
Having been stuck at home for the long Martin Luther King Jr’s Day weekend because of the week-long snowstorm, I found myself with little to do. Actually, there’s lots to do – read a book, write a story, refresh blog, clean the house, etc. – but I just couldn’t bring myself to do any of it. Instead, I spent the weekend in Lightroom, looking for pictures to edit.

#SundayStills: Last Minute #Festivity
With my Christmas road trip only being 4 days away (Friday), I am as festive as I can be. I wrote I wasn’t going to put any sort of holiday decorations but in the last minute, after seeing how haunted my house looked with a flickering garage light, I decided to put up some battery-operated lights on the windows, held up by none-other-than tape. They go on and off automatically, so I won’t have to worry about a thing.

Living in a world where we are constantly bombarded by noise whether by electronic devices or by traffic – ground or air – and by the constant incoming of information by way of social media, there is nothing more peaceful than quiet and solitude.
