I’m one of those people who wants nothing to do with Christmas until it’s one week away. Then I panic. 😄

I absolutely love water photography and take every chance I can get to photograph it. This picture is from my most recent trip to Bear Lake. It was my second time to visit this beautiful lake. My first time was in September. This time, I came with my mom and her friends. I was once again the navigator.
There we were standing on the beach and just as I was about to take some pictures of the water since I didn’t get many great pictures the first time, our friends decided to skip stones. He’s quite good at this.

This is his son’s attempt. His son basically picked up a big ol’ rock and threw it into the water. The rock landed with a loud plop.
I just had a 5-day weekend and must return to work today, which is too cruel. Here’s my simple thought for those suffering similar fate as I am:
Keep calm and return to work.

This week, I am grateful for not overeating. Oh, who am I kidding? I totally overate but I’m glad I overdose on the good, healthy stuff and not the stuff that takes forever to go through the twists and turns of the intestines. 🙂 Continue reading “Sunday Gratitude” →

When my mom called my former student’s mother, aka her friend, last Saturday, I knew this Thanksgiving would be similar to last year’s Christmas – we would be spending the day with my former student’s family. Continue reading “Which Ways to Bear Lake Again?” →

I went on a day trip yesterday. It wasn’t to any place new. I went to Bear Lake back in September, during Labor Day weekend. The only difference this time was I wasn’t the one driving and we went all the way to Montpelier, Idaho. Along the way, I saw an abundance of bear statues. I’m guessing it’s to honor the name of “Bear Lake”.
This cute bear statue was outside the restaurant we had lunch at in Paris, Idaho. I took this picture after everyone went into the restaurant. I can never resist a bear with that smile. 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving to those in the U.S. and Happy Thursday to the rest of the world!
