If I have to pick my all-time favorite image of 2020, it would be this one and it’s not because I was all alone and could take my sweet time to create this awesome landscape.

Lens-Artists Challenge #128: And Here Comes the Holiday Season

When I think of the holidays at the end of the year, I think of the wonderful and marvelous light displays at local parks. Not only are the lights pretty, it allows me to practice my night photography and bokeh photography on my wide-aperture lens.

Lens-Artists Challenge #127: Precious Moments

There is something about nature that if you manage to catch it in the right moment and under the right light, it’s so beautiful that you will remember it for the rest of your life. I got the chance to witness such wonder this year during the height of autumn on September 20th. I was so glad I brought my best lens along to capture those moments.

Lens-Artists Challenge #81: Find Something Red
This week on the Lens-Artist Challenge, we were challenged to “find something red”, which reminded me that it was Chinese New Year this past Saturday and just about everyone I know knows the color red is seen just about everywhere during Chinese New Year – red lantern, lights, red envelopes…
Therefore, I think it’s fitting to see and relive the experience of seeing these colorful lanterns from when I celebrated this holiday in China three years ago.

As we venture into October, my aunt and I were adamant to search for some fall colors around us. Therefore, we spent one weekend hiking from one mountain range to the next. We finally found it in a beautiful scenic area near the Snowbasin Ski Resort near Morgan, Utah. Continue reading “Autumn Colors Panorama”
#AtoZChallenge 2019 Reflection and Break
Another April gone, another A to Z Challenge done.

Overall, I am happy with my theme chosen for this year’s challenge – Wordless Photo. One photo every day for each letter of the alphabet. I chose this theme to fit my busy schedule and I thought I was wise to do so. Ever since my co-worker quit on April first, I have been taking on double-duty at work while my co-worker, who previously performed the other half of my duties, shifted to do my former co-worker’s duties.
And it’s not just work. When I’m at home, every time I attempt to relax, someone was and is calling me to help them. It’s been so incredibly overwhelming at times that I just wanted scream and yell, “Why can’t you people understand I have anxiety issues?!”
With that said, I no longer could find the time to keep up with blogging and I don’t mean the part about creating blog posts. It’s the reading part I was having trouble keeping up. The creating posts part was easy, I already had all except for a few of the letters figure out by the time the challenge started and the photos I wanted to use. Then, all I had to do was plug in the pictures.
You can check out every A to Z Challenge posts ever posted on this blog by clicking on this link.
With the hectic schedule at work and the chaotic life at home, I decided to pause blogging for a while, to take a break. The break will not be indefinite and it does not mean I am stepping away from blogging. I will still check in once in a while to read a few posts, and write a post or two but no more daily posting.
After 6 years of writing posts and participating in challenges. I think it’s time to slow down and perhaps get back to what I originally set out to do when I started this blog – write stories to satisfy my wild imagination but now, with a few photos added.
I hope you will stick around because I have a lot more stories to tell.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Three of a Kind
After re-reading the challenge rule, I realized it’s a different “three of a kind” – the kind where I’m photographing an object in three different angles, not the three of the same object three of a kind. Continue reading “A Photo a Week Challenge: Three of a Kind”
Photo of the Week!

I planted these leucanthemums in my backyard a few weeks ago and so far, they’re doing well. I took this picture about two weeks ago and I think it might be time for me to take more as more and more of these pretty flowers come in. Continue reading “Photo of the Week!”
