Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #180: Favorite Images of 2021

This week, on Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #180, host Tina asks everyone to post their favorite images of 2021.

2021 was a year of ups and downs from getting to travel after being cooped up for the duration of 2020 to going on my first work trip to finally getting the carpal tunnel surgery done on my right hand as well as getting the oral surgery that’s been putting off for over 10 years done. I have spent the last month of 2021 recuperating from both surgeries and was unable to take any pictures and I am now feeling antsy to get out there and shoot some pictures.

In my humble opinion, I feel my photography has improved year-after-year. I am looking forward to the new additions of the Lens-Artists team and the new themes each week which were a great inspiration for my 2021 photos. For now, I am going to end the post with my most memorable photo of 2021.

Friday Thoughts

Not bad for the first snow storm of the season. It’s been snowing since yesterday morning. It paused now and then with light sprinkles but it hasn’t stopped. The temperature now at 8 AM- 24-degrees-Fahrenheit (-4-degree-Celsius). Brr…

#SundayStills – Getting Cozy

I am a simple person with simple desires and when it comes to getting cozy especially during winter, my go-to is minimalistic at its best – just a cup of rich and delightful hot cocoa and somewhere that’s warm.

Like how this cat is curled up comfortably on the couch by the fireplace that was behind me, that spot feels like somewhere I would park for the afternoon.

View from the lodge

Here is my favorite way to staying warm and cozy during winter – head to a ski resort, ride the tram to the top, if there’s a restaurant or lodge, head inside, order a steamy cup of hot cocoa with whipped cream and preferably marshmallow, and finally find a seat with the view. Now, that, in my vocabulary, is a simple person’s luxury.
