Natural lighting is how I take my photos. I didn’t have a flash set up on my old mirrorless camera and became so used to it that even though my new DSLR has a flash built-in, I never use it.

I love water reflections, especially on a sunny day. This was taken at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone when I went there last week. I saw this tree and thought it was in the wrong place but at the same time, it does look pretty cool.

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #155: On the Water
This week, on Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #155, John from Journeys with Johnbo challenged us to share some photos for the topic of On the Water.
I agree with John, people, including me, tend to gravitate toward water. For me, the reason is when there is water, the temperature tends to be a little cooler especially on the a hot day.
This photo was taken when I went hiking at an elevation of 10,000 feet. It was so hot that day, I remember, but at 10,000 feet, it was about 15 degrees cooler.

Water is almost mandatory when I am searching for a new place to hike, for this reason – a great photo op.
CFFC: Water Found in Nature
From a trickling stream to a torrent of icy water rushing down a river, both photos were shot along the way and on my hike a few weeks back.
