Reflection Over Coffee #19
Okay, this is the last episode before this show goes on a break. That’s why I decided to do a cross-over. So I can do one comic for two shows. That’s right, The Foreshadower will be going on a break as well. The comics will be back in 4 weeks, after all my finals and the A-Z challenge is done.

Reflection Over Coffee #18
For the first time ever, my real-life friend, Kat, is a special guest the show. This conversation about how she’s stressed out actually exist and not in my imagination. We texted back-and-forth and I borrowed the texts and translated into dialogues which made this comic extra easy to do. Hope you enjoy.

All About Conflicts
No Foreshadower today. I know some of you are really looking forward to another episode but I just didn’t get to it even with my week-long break. So instead, I’ll post the comics I did this week for my Behavioral Management class’s group project. It is all about the chapter we are set to present on Thursday, Conflicts. Hope you enjoy.
The links for each comic is below the image, that is if you’re having trouble reading the texts.

Reflection Over Coffee #13
Happy President’s Day to people in the U.S. We get an extra day for our weekend. Woo Hoo. For that reason, I am ditching this week’s Reflection over Coffee (shh, don’t tell my co-host) and let my co-host, Angela take over. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of surprises. I just hope Angela won’t mess up the stage. I wouldn’t want to return next week to a train wreck. 😉

Share Your World – 2016 Week #6
1. What is your favorite word?
I don’t have a specific favorite word but phrases, I have plenty, maybe too many to name. Just general praises will do like Great job! or Excellent!
2. What is your least favorite word?
Stupid and its synonyms like Idiot or Nincompoop. Such a harsh thing to call anyone. We’re all human and not perfect.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
- Creativity – writing a story
- Spiritually – meditation
- Emotionally – watch a TV show or movie
4. What turns you off?
There is nothing more turned off than a realist. You know when you watch a show on TV and someone comes in and scoffs, “that will never happen in real life.”
That’s why it’s called a TV show. That’s why there’s fiction and non-fiction. It’s not real! Where’s your creativity?
5. What is your favorite curse word? Damn
6. What sound or noise do you love?
Gentle summer rain or water flowing down a stream. It’s what I listen to when I need to relax or sleep. Just go on YouTube and search, it’s real peaceful.
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
There is nothing worse than planes (fighter jets and the newest F35s) zooming over my roof and babies/children’s shrilling high-pitch cries and screams. The planes are like a very loud annoying fly buzzing around and have you endure a child’s scream? You can practically feel your ear-drums shatter and mind exploding at the noise.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I really like to try graphic artist or a director but I think I’m partially accomplishing that right now with my comic strips.
9. What profession would you not like to do?
I don’t like to be a translator even it’s currently paying most of my bills. I hate that job. If I’m not being micro-managed by my mom, I’ll quit the job at the first chance I get. Beside that, the other profession I would not want is doctor. The education seems too hard and I’ve already wasted 7 years in college.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
He would say, “Let’s go find you another vessel,” and I would reply, “okie doke.”
Although I believe in God, I do not believe in heaven or hell. I believe in spiritual reincarnation, that our souls will be recycled into another life.

Reflection Over Coffee #10
This series has officially taken a turn. Due to the responses from last week, I have updated the series’ title and banner. Also, instead of me yapping my mouth off, I am going to let my comic book characters take over. I hope you enjoy this. Continue reading “Reflection Over Coffee #10”
I heard my voice
I have never watched a video of myself. Often times, I’m behind the camera, not in front of it. When I visited China more than a decade ago, I didn’t have a camera. Continue reading “I heard my voice”
Coffee House Ramble #9
In order to keep this series fresh, I have decided to take a different approach this week. I am going to perform the whole episode in the style of a comic strip. I hope you enjoy. Continue reading “Coffee House Ramble #9”

The Barter System
If the world changed its system, from monetary to non-monetary (barter), I think it might either make the world a whole lot better or a whole lot worse. Wars can start because of bad service or people not fulfilling their promises.
This system might actually get people to stop thinking about money. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like it’s all anyone care about these days. Money money money. Do you disagree with me?
I mean, people spend all their time working for money. Some of those people is me, girl who works two jobs. Where do the money go after we work? Taxes, luxury goods, so on. Almost 50% of mine happen to go to taxes. Darn you government for taxing single people.
If the world works on a bartering system, it might get people to focus on necessity instead of luxury. Like service for a house or food for food. Wouldn’t that make the world better? I think countries might even not be in so much debt.
I have to admit, I didn’t know about the bartering system until I took an economic class last summer. I don’t even know what the word barter meant. But once I began reading about it, I was fascinated by it. I thought why can’t we initiate such system again? I say again because there had been numerous bartering systems in ancient times. There are probably still some markets around the world with a bartering system. Now, those people will do fine if the world worked on a bartering system.
Who knows, I might be successful under this system. I know how to do plenty of things. I might not be good at it but I know why does it matter? On the other hand, there are some chances I can fail. Dissatisfaction of service? It wouldn’t be the first time.
This can be Fun
I have been working on my System Understanding Aid (SUA) project for my online accounting class. Trust me, it’s very messy. I invaded the kitchen counter the entire day yesterday, scattering the paper in that red paper bag you see on top. I brought it up to my room in the late afternoon because I just couldn’t take it anymore, I need to see the hints. Last night, my bed was all scattered with papers. I didn’t even bother to organize it. I was so tired. I just stuffed everything inside everything and transferred it back to my desk.
My mom is in the same class as me and this project is due in two days. She wanted to help but let’s face it, she’ll just get in my way. She hadn’t taken enough classes to know what to do for this project. I think if she’s taking this class alone, she’d probably fail.
But it is always helpful to have an extra set of hands and minds on this project. So if I have an extra me, I’d definitely split the responsibility on this project. One of me can be in charge of entering numbers into the spreadsheet while the other me will be working on the paper-end of the project. The best part? I don’t teach everything to my clone! Because well, we think the same, we act the same, what can be more awesome.
Although this can happen…
