I love water reflections, especially on a sunny day. This was taken at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone when I went there last week. I saw this tree and thought it was in the wrong place but at the same time, it does look pretty cool.

It’s amazing how I’m able to find so much in common with my fellow traveler and guest, who happens to be a 15-year-old.

Of the five Yellowstone trips I’ve taken so far, I think this is the most relaxing trip so far or maybe I’m just exhausted from all the traveling I’ve done recently.

I think a picture of the sunset from the 35th floor is a fitting picture to end this journey. Another end to another trip.

I think this is definitely a 2021 thing. I was told this conference is going to be crazy, that there would be lots of people, believe me, 1000 is a lot of people especially in a time like this but it has been slow-going working at the registration desk.
Continue reading “Las Vegas 2021 Trip Day 3” →One thing I must admit about Las Vegas or perhaps every city, the night view is definitely different from what I’m used to especially when it’s from the 35th floor of a 5-star hotel room.

It was around 8:45 AM when I arrived in Vegas and it was 100-degrees. So hot!
It’s my first time traveling to Las Vegas guys via an airplane and I have to say it’s more exhausting than driving – you have to park at the airport, ride a shuttle to the terminal, go through security, walk to the gate, board the plane, and ride for an hour. An hour later, more walking. Oh and let’s not mention all the things you cannot bring with you when you air travel.
I’m on my way to the hotel. My cold has somewhat subsided after taking multiple medications this morning. Hopefully, it’ll stay that way.
This week, on Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #156, Anne from Slow Shutter Speed assigned the topic of Black and White.

I agree with John, people, including me, tend to gravitate toward water. For me, the reason is when there is water, the temperature tends to be a little cooler especially on the a hot day.
This photo was taken when I went hiking at an elevation of 10,000 feet. It was so hot that day, I remember, but at 10,000 feet, it was about 15 degrees cooler.

Water is almost mandatory when I am searching for a new place to hike, for this reason – a great photo op.
From a trickling stream to a torrent of icy water rushing down a river, both photos were shot along the way and on my hike a few weeks back.
This week, on Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #154, Tina from Travels and Trifles challenged us to share some photos taken in different ways. Continue reading “Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #154: One Photo, Two Ways” →
Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge
I was going over the photos on my phone and came across this photo which I took Mid-May when I went on my road trip. I think it fits the description of weathered since this landscape is crafted by millions of years of wind erosion.

Though it’s a little blurry, I think this photo fits this week’s topic of Preparation. Isn’t this little guy just the cutest? He’s about to jump to try to catch the bubble.
