A Christmas Party
Friday night, I was at a party. It was nice and festive. There were more children than adults, the ratio of children to adult each table was about 6 to 2. In fact, our table was most likely the only table with the most adults, 6 adults and 4 children, two sat in chair while two sat on parents’ laps. Continue reading “A Christmas Party”

Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I am definitely not a hugger. Whenever someone hugs me, my heart would always pound nervously. I don’t know why and the worst part is, people tend to give me the awkward one-arm half-hug. It’s the most awkward thing ever when someone twice sometimes three times my size tries to give me a half-hug. It’s like they can wrap their arms all the way around me but I can barely reach half-way.
What is your favorite toppings on pizza?
I like almost all the toppings on pizza except for any type of mushrooms, onions, seafood including fish, and other weird things like marshmallow. Don’t laugh, I think I’ve seen a marshmallow pizza before. My all-time favorite pizza though, has to be sausage and pepperoni pizza. Mmm…
If you were the original designer of one existing corporate logo, which one would you select?
Coca-Cola. I don’t know why I choose that except that I know I would be rich. I learned from my accounting classes, the Coca-Cola logo worth a lot.
Complete this sentence: Where I can seek my solace is…
Anywhere that can provide me with peace and serenity. Anywhere that allows me to drift off temporarily to somewhere faraway.

A Child’s Dream
When I was 10, I was getting ready to make the trip of a lifetime, the 11-hour airplane ride from Guangzhou, China to Los Angeles, California. I wasn’t thinking of what I want to become when I grew up. Just trying to adapt to my new environment was a difficult enough task. Continue reading “A Child’s Dream”
Coffee House Ramble #3
Where is she? I’ve been staring at my watch for the past 30 minutes. What’s worse than a no-show is making someone wait, don’t you agree? I’ve actually written a short post on this very topic but just haven’t published. Continue reading “Coffee House Ramble #3”
What happened to my money?
I was supposed to have another story (fiction) for you today but I didn’t get to finish it, guess I’ll just have to leave it for another day. I spent the morning out and about, soaking up some sunshine. We went up to the air force base to see what’s left from the Black Friday sale and didn’t see anything we liked. So we ended up just restocking the pantry and fridge with food. Continue reading “What happened to my money?”
The Best Thanksgiving
I can hardly believe it. Thanksgiving has come and gone this year and Christmas is coming in a month and 2016 in less than 5 weeks! This year feels like it’s just breezed by. It was just 12 weeks ago that I began school and now, I’m two weeks away from finals. Continue reading “The Best Thanksgiving”

Stubborn Culture
The whole reason for travel is to experience new cultures, food, and places, right? Not searching for the same type of food you’re already eating everyday. Maybe that’s why I am frustrated by my family and maybe a little of the culture I come from. Continue reading “Stubborn Culture”

The 103rd Floor
I have a minor fear of heights. I say minor because I don’t freak out like my mom. My knees would just buckle. So when I found myself standing in line with my hotel roommate along with a few of the group members in line to board the elevator to the 103rd floor of the Willis (Sears) Tower on the afternoon of my third day in Chicago, I couldn’t help but feel nervous. Writing Habits
I have been blogging for more than two years and so far, I’ve written more than a thousand posts and published about 930. I can tell you that all of those posts were typed using my ancient laptop, a Sony Vaio laptop just two months shy of turning six. It’s been very reliable over the years even though it has indeed caused a few scares. Continue reading “Writing Habits”
