Wrapping Up 2015: Awards [Liebster Award]
As 2015 comes to a close and my work is done, I have decided to finally stop procrastinating and complete all the award posts from the last quarter of 2015, starting with Liebster Awards. In November, I was nominated by Sweetaces at her blog, The Sweet Perspectives. In December, I was nominated by Jahnavi Chintakunta at her blog, Recharge Your Day. These are some great blogs, I highly recommend you to check them out. Continue reading “Wrapping Up 2015: Awards [Liebster Award]”
Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 8 – Charity Christmas Tree Topper Challenge
I feel a little sad that we’re not going to put up the tree this year. I mean, where’s the holiday spirit without a tree? Continue reading “Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 8 – Charity Christmas Tree Topper Challenge”
Coffee House Ramble #6

So we are four days from Christmas and evidently, my special friend thinks it’s high time for a break. Therefore, she’s not coming. It’s just me. Continue reading “Coffee House Ramble #6”
From Frozen to Sweating

As much as I love my basement bedroom, I spent most of the morning moving back to my old room on the top floor. The frozen climate in the basement was getting a little too unbearable for me. I don’t want to spend everyday hugging a hot water bag, shaking and clattering my teeth even with a portable heater less than three feet away.
The move from the basement was like moving from Alaska to the Caribbeans. I was instantly sweating from the heat. At first, the heat was unbearable. I felt like I was on fire. Has it always been this hot upstairs? Anyway,I spent the morning walking around without a jacket and it felt great. I wonder why I stayed in that frozen tundra called a basement?
Oh yeah, my classes were driving me crazy that I couldn’t find the time to make the move.
One down side of being back in my old room is my privacy level has just went from three flights of stairs to just across the hall. Not to mention I have to keep my music volume to the down low. But I guess if I can finally be warm, that’s all it matters. I also hope that I will be able to renew my inspiration now that I’m no longer feeling cold all the time.
Well, guess it’s time for me to get back to work. I want to be able to write a story for this Christmas. I’m thinking of a modern re-told of the Christmas Classic, A Christmas Carol. We’ll see.

A Christmas Gathering
I think I mentioned this in a previous post, I attended another Christmas party last weekend. This party was hosted by the neighborhood Ward (Ward means church). Apparently, a party is hosted there every year and we never knew about it until now. It turned out to be one of the more enjoyable parties I’ve been to. Continue reading “A Christmas Gathering”

It’s been snowing here for last 24 hours and it’s beginning to look more like winter. It’s been a while since we had so much snow here. Continue reading “Winter Wonderland”

Out of Focus
Have you ever had a moment where you look at a picture on the tiny screen of your camera and thought, “Gee, this is such a perfect picture.” Then, when you blow the picture up on your desktop, you’re like, “What in the world!” Continue reading “Out of Focus”
Worst Quality?
What are my worst qualities?
If you ask different people, they will tell you something very different. For example, my mom will probably say my worst quality is that I’m lazy while if you ask, say, my driving instructor, he will probably say I am too careful which apparently is not always a good thing when it comes to driving.
Me myself?
I think one of my seriously bad quality is procrastination. Oftentimes, I will tell myself, “Okay, the assignment is due in two weeks. You better get a move on and finish it this weekend.” Then I will relax and then three days before the assignment is due, I will panic. The weird thing is, this only happens with school assignments. I don’t procrastinate at work. I don’t know what my deal with procrastination is.
My other bad quality is that I often find myself running my mouth off. Mom is often mad at me for this. I mean, it’s not like I’m not trying. I try to filter my thoughts but it seems to make everything worse. It’s like before, these were just random thoughts but now, these thoughts have gone from random to ridiculous. Maybe I’m trying too hard to filter my thoughts to act mature. I don’t know, all I know is I’m better when I’m not thinking too hard.

Share Your World – 2015 Week #49
What would be your ideal birthday present, and why?
I used to prefer some kind of monetary gift such as money, gift card, etc. but nowadays, I think spending a day where I’m not bothered would be good too.
What color would you like your bedroom to be?

I am horrible at choosing colors or anything. So I think instead of color, I will choose a more expensive path, have an artist to come paint a mural.
Would you prefer snowy winters, or not, and why?
No I do not prefer snowy winters because snow means there’s ice and for me, that’s a nightmare. I had a horrible experience early 2013 when the ice storm hit Utah. I almost ended up crawling to the bus stop that day after slipping on the ice numerous times that day, even wearing special boots.
Would you rather go a week without bathing, but be able to change your clothes, or a week without a change of clothes, but be able to bathe?
Can I at least wash my hair? A week without washing my hair would result in a greasy nightmare. Other than that, I think I would choose a week without bathing but I can change my clothes.

Set Three Goals
I did Blogging 201 in February of 2015. I didn’t really need it at the time but what the heck, I could use some advice. However, I think I am taking this course now to help me grow this blog and it will give me a chance to learn about more ways to beautify this blog. Continue reading “Set Three Goals”
Coffee House Ramble #4

Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 7 – Funny Or Strange Signs
I came across this challenge and couldn’t resist. I took this picture on the third day of my Chicago trip. This picture was taken at the entrance of Lou Mitchell’s Diner located at the start of Historic Route 66. Continue reading “Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 7 – Funny Or Strange Signs”
Share Your World – 2015 Week #48
Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I am definitely not a hugger. Whenever someone hugs me, my heart would always pound nervously. I don’t know why and the worst part is, people tend to give me the awkward one-arm half-hug. It’s the most awkward thing ever when someone twice sometimes three times my size tries to give me a half-hug. It’s like they can wrap their arms all the way around me but I can barely reach half-way.
What is your favorite toppings on pizza?
I like almost all the toppings on pizza except for any type of mushrooms, onions, seafood including fish, and other weird things like marshmallow. Don’t laugh, I think I’ve seen a marshmallow pizza before. My all-time favorite pizza though, has to be sausage and pepperoni pizza. Mmm…
If you were the original designer of one existing corporate logo, which one would you select?
Coca-Cola. I don’t know why I choose that except that I know I would be rich. I learned from my accounting classes, the Coca-Cola logo worth a lot.
Complete this sentence: Where I can seek my solace is…
Anywhere that can provide me with peace and serenity. Anywhere that allows me to drift off temporarily to somewhere faraway.

Transition of the Seasons
You have probably seen these before or maybe you haven’t but I think these pictures are probably the best I can do for this week’s photo challenge.

…and here is how the mountain look at the moment.
A Child’s Dream
When I was 10, I was getting ready to make the trip of a lifetime, the 11-hour airplane ride from Guangzhou, China to Los Angeles, California. I wasn’t thinking of what I want to become when I grew up. Just trying to adapt to my new environment was a difficult enough task. Continue reading “A Child’s Dream”
Coffee House Ramble #3
Where is she? I’ve been staring at my watch for the past 30 minutes. What’s worse than a no-show is making someone wait, don’t you agree? I’ve actually written a short post on this very topic but just haven’t published. Continue reading “Coffee House Ramble #3”
What happened to my money?
I was supposed to have another story (fiction) for you today but I didn’t get to finish it, guess I’ll just have to leave it for another day. I spent the morning out and about, soaking up some sunshine. We went up to the air force base to see what’s left from the Black Friday sale and didn’t see anything we liked. So we ended up just restocking the pantry and fridge with food. Continue reading “What happened to my money?”
