#WeekendCoffeeShare: On the Edge

Good morning and welcome back. It’s a lovely day today? The weatherman predicted it’s gonna be abnormally warm this weekend. So take off that coat and join me for some breakfast. If you want something sweet, I got that covered too with my sourdough brownies.

Living Life Backwards

I had my monthly one-on-one with my supervisor this week. It went well. I told her the things I am currently working on. She was pleased with my speed at completing the tasks needed to close out the month (financially speaking). I also told her about the one-on-one with Mr. CFO the week before. “We talk about you all the time.” She said.

With her picture in hand, he gave the red building before him a disapproving gaze. After a year of waiting, he finally received the great news his PI has located his MIA daughter.

Photo Challenge #356: Go Big or Go Home

-Google

All his life, he had known only one thing – go big or go home. In elementary school, he created the biggest piece of artwork, folded the largest paper crane, and even attempted to bring his teacher the largest gift he could find. Fast forward, he graduated college with a degree in fine arts and an aspiration to become the next Michelanglo – to create the most magnificent sculpture that would be viewed by passerby.

I feel so conflicted

I feel so conflicted at times when someone reminds me that I’m a grown woman and don’t need permission from anyone to leave the house or go do the things I like, except somehow I do.

Lens-Artists Challenge #137: Soft

To me, the word soft can mean so many things – fluffy as in furs or feathers, delicate, and in photography, soft-focus, meaning the texture has been taken out of the photographs. This week, I hope these old photos can convey the meaning of soft.

#WeekendCoffeeShare: The Last Weekend of February 2021

Good morning, it’s still pretty chilly out. Please come into the warmth and let’s chat in my fresh-bread-smelling kitchen. I had just finished baking a loaf of Sourdough Foccacia. It’s been a while since I’ve baked anything and I sure do love Foccacia. They are so savory and versatile.

Those Darn Meddlers…

Credit: Southern Living

I have a problem with people meddling into people’s lives. Isn’t there a saying – “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? I think this applies to meddling as well. According to my personal experience and all those movies and TV shows I’ve watched over the year, I don’t think there’s ever been a scenario where meddling ended well. Yeah, I understand sometimes we want to wish others well but meddling often make matters worse.

Have you ever ‘butt dialed” someone?  (‘butt dialed’ means have you ever made a phone call that you weren’t aware of making, because the buttons on the phone got pushed by your sitting on them (in your pocket) OR having something in your handbag press against them?)

My Current Dilemma

This prompt word for this week’s Weekly Prompts Weekend Challenge is Divorce. For the past few weeks, I have been dealing with something that has something with my mom’s divorce from my step-dad. It’s been weighing on me and I’m hoping to talk to someone about this. Alas, there’s literally no one I can talk to in my real life about this.
