Kissing Up to the Frenemy

Kissing up, kissing a$$, whatever you want to call it, I’m not a fan even though I am someone who’s eager to please. I have my limits and would never stoop so low as to kiss someone’s behind to keep them happy.

Talk about that dream…

There’s a lost dream somewhere – one where I had imagined myself as an adult, getting married, having children, living in one of those suburbs with identical houses – where did that dream go? Is it cheesy to think this dream would be my happily ever after?

Friday Fictioneers: Never Driving Again

PHOTO PROMPT © Liz Young

Palms press against my ears, eyes squeeze shut, I sit paralyzed in the driver seat while my sister, Susan, paces outside, spilling expletives like a waterfall. For a moment, I think about spending the rest of my life (despite being only sixteen) riding the bus.

PHOTO PROMPT © Miles Rost
Yes, it’s my voice, but I wrote this in a male persona, so… 😀

Wah…whoa, I’m feeling a bout of vertigo coming on. Where am I? The last thing I remember was walking in the park. Why is everything so big?

Highway 12 Road Trip Day 1

It was such a beautiful day today. Though I’m dog-tired having driven almost 300 miles and fulfilled my 10,000 steps today, I had such a great time. It is very rare to get a quiet day without my mom and the jet noise from the air force base. It’s one of those rare days I get to just focus on nature.

Now onto Day 2
